Shortly after Coram's return, Mari brought Farda, the tribe's midwife, to make her peace with the tribe's new shaman. Within minutes, the two were trading secrets of healing. The next day, Farda took over instructing the apprentices in herbs: from that moment on, most of the women made their peace with Alanna and her young people.

1. Who I ship:
   • Fullmetal Alchemist: Ed/Winry, Al/Mei
   • Veronica Mars: Veronica/Logan
   • Grey's Anatomy: Meredith/Derek
   • DC Comics: Black Canary/Batman (and, yes, I know this will never happen)
   • Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Buffy/Angel until the horrible Darla resurrection mess on Angel; Buffy/Spike thereafter; also really liked Xander/Cordelia and support Buffy/Xander for older, wiser future shippiness.
   • Inda series by Sherwood Smith: Inda/Tdor
   • Avatar: the Last Airbender: Aang/Katara, Sokka/Suki and Sokka/Toph (I love both options, though I also think Toph would be good for Zuko -- and these are future ships for when they're all older, so don't get your undies in a wad, folks)
2. Black Canary/Batman because I just think those two characters would be really good for each other both personally and professionally. They're both scarily dedicated crime fighters with Gotham ties, but she's much better at balancing and managing to have a life.  She'd help keep him from going all dark and angsty and getting his sidekicks killed, and they'd be good sparring partners, helping each other maintain their martial arts games.  And HE wouldn't cheat on her like some people (who I also love, but...) and would be able to lavish her with gifts and cool gadgets due to his spectacular wealth.  Plus, Bat-kids with potential superpowers?  How awesome would that be?
3. Veronica/Logan (which was also my first official OTP)
4. I just rewatched the episode that contained their First Kiss.  That was a moment I hadn't realized (the first time I saw it) that I'd been waiting for throughout all prior episodes.  The characters and the actors had such fantastic chemistry, and I really wanted to see them both get their acts together (he's too wild; she's too paranoid) and be together.  *sigh*

I don't much care for the write-up part, but the actual punctuation match is... FREAKISHLY DEAD-ON!  Snicked--as usual--from lisamantchev.
